Lake Lanier. Each of these provides a wide array of sport and
outdoor activities. Seasonal festivities and events are also

Chattahoochee
River National Recreation Area The park covers 16 land
units and a 48 mile stretch of the river. Numerous smaller parks
dot the landscape of the metro area. Activities include fishing,
hiking, picnicking, and boating, and the park also contains a
variety of natural habitats, flora and fauna, nineteenth century
historic sites, and Native American archeological sites.
